Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By authorizing CCMC Transmissions ("we," "us," or "our") to perform diagnostic, repair, or maintenance services on your vehicle, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms apply to all services provided at our facility located at 4087 W Nike Dr, Suite 4, West Jordan, UT 84088.

2. Estimates and Authorization

  • Estimates: Any estimate provided is an approximation of charges based on the visible condition of the vehicle. It is not a guaranteed final invoice.

  • Authorization: Your signature (written or electronic) or verbal authorization over the phone constitutes a binding contract to perform the specified work.

  • Additional Repairs: If, during the course of repair, we discover hidden damage or additional parts are required, we will contact you for approval before proceeding. We will not exceed the original estimate by more than 10% or $100 (whichever is greater) without your express permission.

3. Diagnostics and Teardowns

  • "True-Check" (Preliminary Diagnostic): We offer a complimentary preliminary check (road test, fluid check, scan). This does not include removing the transmission, dropping the pan, or extensive electrical pinpoint testing.

  • Teardown Service: If a transmission teardown is required to determine the root cause of failure, a labor charge will apply. If you choose to proceed with the repair, this fee may be credited towards the job. If you decline the repair after teardown, you are responsible for the teardown labor fee, and the vehicle will be returned in a disassembled state.

4. Permission to Operate

You hereby grant CCMC Transmissions and its employees permission to operate the vehicle on public streets, highways, or elsewhere for the purpose of testing and/or inspection. You acknowledge that we are not responsible for any traffic violations incurred before the vehicle was in our possession.

5. Payment and Mechanic's Lien

  • Payment Due: Full payment is due upon completion of the work and prior to the release of the vehicle. We accept cash, major credit cards, and approved financing. Personal checks are not accepted without prior approval.

  • Mechanic's Lien: Pursuant to Utah Code Title 38, CCMC Transmissions explicitly asserts a Mechanic's Lien on your vehicle to secure the amount of repairs, parts, and storage. We have the legal right to retain possession of your vehicle until all charges are paid in full.

6. Storage Fees and Abandoned Vehicles

  • Pickup Window: Vehicles must be picked up within three (3) business days of notification that repairs are complete.

  • Storage Fee: Vehicles left beyond this grace period will incur a storage fee of $50.00 per day.

  • Abandonment: Vehicles left for more than 30 days without payment or communication will be considered abandoned and processed for auction/title lien sale in accordance with Utah state law to recover costs.

7. Warranty

  • Coverage: Our standard warranty on transmission rebuilds is 2 Years / Unlimited Miles (unless otherwise noted on your specific invoice).

  • Exclusions: Warranty coverage is void if the vehicle has been abused, raced, modified, or if the transmission failure is caused by an external component (e.g., broken radiator cooler) not replaced during our service.

  • Procedure: You must contact CCMC Transmissions prior to any warranty work being performed. We do not reimburse for unauthorized repairs performed by other facilities.

8. Liability and Personal Items

  • Loss/Damage: While we exercise due care, CCMC Transmissions is not responsible for loss or damage to the vehicle or articles left in the vehicle in case of fire, theft, accident, or any other cause beyond our control.

  • Personal Items: Please remove all valuables, firearms, and sensitive items from your vehicle before dropping it off.

9. Parts

We reserve the right to use new, remanufactured, or used parts as necessary to complete the repair, provided they meet our quality standards. All parts are subject to manufacturer availability.
